The CAG (Ceramic Artist Guild) is designed to help local ceramic associations and clubs by connecting them through unity of craftsmanship and standardized methods especially in the areas of competition and promotion. We are not here to establish policy or operational standards for any association or club. The only area we are focused on is in open competition. In almost any artistic arena there are standards that artists look for when entering competitions. For many years ceramicists came to know and trust the guidelines and framework set out by the ICA (International Ceramic Association). The standards set forth by this past organization will be the framework we will make use of in the CAG Competition Guidelines.
The CAG will begin teacher and judging certification programs in the spring of 2010.
Only CAG affiliated associations and clubs can request to bring the "CAROLYN" to their show.
We will provide annual affiliation membership for FREE to associations or clubs willing to agree to the following in-kind arrangements FREE of charge to the CAG. We will also provide you with a free 1 page website for your show if you do not have one.
You will provide a standard booth for the CAG at your show, convention or meeting (this is to be at the main event of your association) at no charge, A full page ad in your events book given to visitors at the show, A LINK on the front page of your website to the CAG (authorized buttons/graphics will be provided.) Local associations/clubs will work directly with their CAG Regional Ambassadors about particulars.
