FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)

1. I just joined the CAG, but I don't see my name on the membership map yet?
Please allow up to 5 working days for your application to be received and processed. If you still
haven't seen your name in 5 days feel free to contact the membership department and check it out.

2. I would like to be featured in the "ARTIST SHOWCASE" area, what do I need to do?
If you are registered as an artist or merchant level classification it's included in your membership. If
you are registered at the craftsman level, you will need to re-apply as an artist or merchant , and we
will contact you as to creating the special entry LINK from the SHOWCASE page.

3. Can I get a printed copy of CAG's magazine "CERAKANVAS"?
At this time the only version of CERAKANVAS is the e-zine (on-line) format. However you may feel
free to print a copy of anything in it, including the whole magazine. The print copies you may see
surfacing are for promotional purposes only at this time. The cost to print in small quantities is very
prohibitive. If we ever change and have print copies available we will let the membership know.

4. Will the CAG end up turning to focus on whatever craft is popular at the time, like others have?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! The CAG was developed to promote the art and craft of slip-cast ceramics.
We will naturally feature tie-in things to use in finishing your ceramic pieces, but only if the ceramic
piece itself is the core focus.

5. Do you allow advertising in the CERAKANVAS magazine?
We do allow companies that provide merchandise related to slip-cast ceramics to purchase
display space type advertising. If you are interested please send an e-mail to our advertising
department. Please note that we do work to uphold a healthy Distributor-Dealer-Consumer
discount program. No ads that suggest ceramics is coming to an end will be allowed.

6. Will the CAG be offering "Master Ceramic Judge - Certification" programs?
Yes. Watch our website for future development in this area. The CAG teacher - judging certification
program will reflect the same quality and dedication that the past ICA program offered, with a
broader media-technique base to catch up with today's trends. This program is slated to begin
in the fall/winter of 2009. Watch for details. Credit will be honored for verified previous ICA
credentialing.

7. Our ceramic club (association) is having a show, do you have flyers about the CAG available?
Yes.We have tri-fold brochures on both the CAG and our magazine CERAKANVAS. We also have
1-sided and 2-sided 8 1/2" x 11" handouts as well. At this time we can provide you with a high
quality (600dpi) pdf file to copy and distribute at your show. We hope in the near future to be able
to mail out quantities of brochures/flyers to shows that are affiliated with the CAG. Just let us know
when and where your next show will be (big or small) and we will contact you for more details.

8. Why does it take so long for CERAKANVAS to open up? (new May 15, 2009)
As with any Internet program, CERAKANVAS is a very alrge image file that must first download to
your computer. Depending on your Internet speed, this could take between 1 and 30 minutes. the
speed at which your operating system has can also effect loading time. If you cannot get the e-zine
to load within 45 minutes, we suggest viewing it through the pdf files that are also attached.

9. I can't open the magazine, what might help? (new August 25, 2009)
First make sure you are using an updated browser. Internet 8, Firefox, Mozilla or Google Chrome
all seem to work better than older versions. Also clear your history and cache before trying to open.
Adware, while usually harmless, tends to slow the opening of the program. Always contact our IT
department if you still have difficulties.
