This part of the website is designed to help teachers, parents, educators, therapists and youth leaders with resources for slipcast ceramic projects
The LINKS on the upper left side of this page are designed to help connect a variety of resources to a wide group of individuals who use or would like to use slipcast ceramics to enrich the lives young people 12 & under.(See Young Artists for 13-17)

"My First Masterpiece" is a way to reward young people for their accomplishment in creating a ceramic piece. A special certificate has been created that we will send as a printable .jpeg 8x10 attachment with your return e-mail. It will have the child's name printed on the certificate. They will also get their name etched on the masterpiece wall. Hardcopy certificates are available for a minimal charge, e-mail attached certificates are FREE.

The teachers LINK will connect you with professional educators in grades PK - 6th who have developed academic lesson plans for a variety of slipcast ceramic projects. In addition downloadable lesson plans will be posted as .pdf documents for you to use in teaching young students about almost all disciplines (art, history, math, science, English, etc) using slipcast ceramics as the focal concept of the lesson.

Youth leaders will enjoy having a resource pool that incorporates a variety of projects for use in their groups involving slipcast ceramics. This site will have areas for youth organizations like Boy or Girl Scouts, Royal Rangers, 4H Clubs, AWANA's, Campfire USA, Boys and Girls Club, Sunday school leaders, Day care leaders and more. In some groups when a specific badge working with clay/pottery/ceramic is offered a activity program will be included. Any applications using slipcast ceramics in place of other ceramic modalities will be documented with approval from the governing organization.

From this LINK we will show you reviews and slide shows of different ceramic camps held around the globe for children. We will also have links to individuals who are willing to help you co-ordinate your own camp at your shop on school break. We will connect you with the suppliers who can make your camp a success while still being very affordable for the participants. A special week long day camp program kit for 2010 will also be available through the KID KONNEXION at the Ceramic artist Guild.

Almost since the introduction of hobby slipcast ceramics almost 75 years ago, ceramics have been used as therapy. Mental health professionals and rehabilitative therapists have used slipcast ceramics in a variety of ways. We will be sharing with you some of their projects and programs. We are especially excited to bring to you the "Turtle Tales" program developed by the KID KONNEXION of the Ceramic Artist Guild for Autistic and communicative delayed children.
